Sir Robin Saxby is the man behind the world famous ARM technology as we know it today. He was the CEO for a decade (1991-2001) and a Chairman for 5 years (2001-2006) at the newly spun off micro-electronics company ARM Inc.
It all begun after Acorn Computers & Apple Inc collaboratively setup ARM Inc, to develop ultra-energy-efficient micro-processing units for mobile computing space. He drove the company to what it is today, all with a team of 12 more engineers, with a vision of becoming a processor design company without a chip fab. Outsourcing the fabrication of the chips to already setup companies, the company solely focuses on how to make the design better and it really did wonders under his vision and leadership.
The IET Future Tech Congress 2022 was held in Bengaluru, India; where he spoke to the gathered audience on his own career journey and how India can benefit on thinking and working differently to address the issues with doable solutions.
